Pulse valves provide higher peak pressures, extending bag and filter life and reducing maintenance in reverse osmosis systems.

 bag pulse dust collector

Emerson introduced the new ASCO™ Series 353 Pulse Valve, designed to help original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and end users achieve more efficient, productive and convenient bag cleaning every time.
The new series features higher peak pressures, a wider temperature range, patented quick-connect couplings and overall simplification of components, resulting in longer hose and filter life and reduced maintenance costs.
The new valves are used in a wide range of applications including concrete handling, grain handling, agriculture and feed processing, metal processing (sand blasting), food processing, foundries, pharmaceuticals, mining, rubber mixing/processing, metalworking, lime industry, cement plants, power plants and steel mills.
Without optimum peak pressure, the cleaning efficiency of the dust collector will decrease and compressed air consumption will increase. Because the 353 Series quickly reaches peak pressure, a more efficient cleaning process is achieved. The new design also improves air flow through the filter bags or cartridges, optimizing the performance of the dust collector while reducing the consumption of expensive compressed air.
“Through a rigorous design and testing process, Emerson has optimized the ASCO 353 Series Pulse Valve to open faster, reach peak pressure faster and close faster than the competition,” said Eric VanLanigham, vice president of global marketing for Emerson’s Industrial Automation Division. “This provides our customers with optimized filter cleaning and significant compressed air savings in all their recirculation dust collection applications.”
In addition, the valve is designed with fewer moving parts, which increases reliability and simplifies maintenance. A longer valve life (over a million cycles on average) allows for longer valve maintenance intervals.
The 353 Series also offers a patented quick-release clamp connection for faster and easier installation, as well as connection options such as a classic trimmer connection and a threaded connection.
Emerson’s upgraded 353 Series provides a wider operating temperature range of -40°C to 140°C (-40°F to 284°F) for use in moderate to severe industrial and hazardous environments.
